QuéLingo!

Think bingo.

Avec une twist!

The playful game that brings Québec French, local expressions, and culture to life.

QuéLingo: Qu'est-ce que c'est?

What is it?

QUÉLINGO!

is a fun, educational game to learn Québécois French vocabulary while discovering the cultural context of these words.

In no time, you’ll have the savoir-faire to pass for a local!

Who is QuéLingo for?

New Immigrants

needing a linguistic boost to support their integration and understanding of Quebec culture.

French Learners

seeking to learn Québécois French.

French Teachers

wanting to teach Québec French in an interactive and visual way that goes beyond the grammar textbooks.

Tourists

looking for a cool, educational souvenir that showcases colourful local vocabulary and allows them to enjoy the joie de vivre of Quebecois culture back home.

What will you learn?

  • Whether you're a French newbie, an intermediate learner, or a fluent speaker of French from abroad, you will learn words, context and expressions that are specific to Quebecois culture.

  • After playing QUÉLINGO!, you won’t make a faux pas inviting someone from France to a 5 à 7!

  • You definitely won’t learn how to say “Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?” But here, you will learn that foufounes means ‘derrière’ in Québecois French!

How do you play?

  • QUÉLINGO! is played like bingo, but with words in the spotlight instead of letters and numbers. About half are Quebec-specific.

  • First, decide if the goal is to make a line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) or the whole card.

  • Next, someone picks a card, makes a sentence integrating the new word, and if it's on your board, mark it off. Continue to the next person until someone wins.

C'est simple comme bonjour!
